REPLICATE successful project partnerships

CITyFiED cluster city Florence, Community of Interest member Donostia San Sebastian and a third, member of the consortium, Tecnalia have come together in a new and high profile H2020 smart cities project, REPLICATE

The “Renaissance of PLaces with Innovative Citizenship And TEchnology” project is funded by a 29M grant from Horizon 2020, the main EU program fostering research and innovation actions. This project belongs to the “Lighthouse” call of Smart Cities and Communities solutions integrating energy, transport, ICT sectors, one of the most competitive in the program. 

REPLICATE aims to increase the quality of life for citizens across Europe by demonstrating the impact of innovative technologies used to co-create smart city services with citizens, and prove the optimal process for replicating successes within cities and across cities. Lighthouses are Bristol, San Sebastian and Florence, with follower cities Essen, Lausanne and Nilüfer plus an additional partnership with Bogota in Columbia and Guanghzou in China.
